Melan provides research intelligence, technology scouting, and partnership solutions to help organizations bridge the gap between discovery and deployment. We are committed to maintaining a professional, trustworthy, and lawful environment for all users. 2. What You Must Do

You agree to:

  • Interfere with the Services. Introduce viruses, worms, Trojans, or other malicious code. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services, other accounts, or connected systems. Disrupt or degrade the performance, availability, or integrity of the Services.
  • Spam or send unsolicited communications. Use the Services to send unsolicited messages, bulk communications, or spam to other users. Do not harvest contact information from the Services for the purpose of sending unsolicited communications.
  • Misrepresent yourself or your affiliation. Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or the origin of any content you submit through the Services.
  • Circumvent limitations. Bypass or attempt to bypass any security measures, rate limits, access controls, or usage restrictions implemented in the Services.
  • Reverse engineer. Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or underlying structure of any part of the Services.
  • Monetize without authorization. Rent, lease, loan, trade, sell, resell, or otherwise monetize the Services or any data obtained from the Services without Melan’s prior written consent.
  • Use for competitive intelligence. Monitor the Services’ availability, performance, or functionality for any competitive purpose, including benchmarking or building a competing product or service.

4. Content Standards

When submitting or sharing content through the Services, you must not post or transmit content that:

  • Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, or rights of publicity.
  • Contains false, misleading, or deceptive information presented as fact.
  • Constitutes unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional material, or “spam.”
  • Contains viruses, corrupted data, or other harmful code.

5. Research Data and Signals

The Services provide research intelligence, funding signals, technology data, and partnership information. You agree to:

  • Use research data and signals solely for the internal business purposes for which the Services were designed.
  • Not redistribute, resell, or publicly publish raw data obtained from the Services without Melan’s written consent.
  • Independently verify the accuracy and relevance of any data or signals before making business decisions. Melan provides information on an “as-is” basis and does not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of third-party data.
  • Comply with applicable data protection laws when processing any personal data obtained through the Services.

6. Account Termination

Melan reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have:

  • Violated this Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Violated applicable law or regulation.
  • Engaged in conduct that may expose Melan, its users, or third parties to liability.
  • Posed a risk to the security, availability, or integrity of the Services.

Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Melan may retain data as required by law or as described in our Privacy Notice.

7. Reporting Violations
